There are two tpyes of GDP: Normal GDP and Real GDP. "6.78%" is a Normal GDP while "8.7%" is a Real GDP which has taken into account the Inflation Rate . Usually, the anual Economics Report addresses Real GDP because the calculation approach of Real GDP omits the effects of changes in the price level, which makes it possible to compare the economic growth from one year to the next in terms of production of goods and services rather than the market value of these goods and service.
